Is there a storage compartment on the side of the tt that the heater is on? If so maybe you have to reach up and over the separation between the storage area and the heater to geet to the valve. That's what I have to do with mine. Just a thought, hope it helps.

Hi - I put a piece of duck tape smack dab in the middle of my tailgate and back it up to where the light is centered over the propane tanks. Works every time. But practice is the thing. Good luck.
